Our Mainland Eagles alumni updates are a recap showcasing and celebrating notable performances of our alumni all-around the world.
Esra McGoldrick (2018), Lauren Whittaker (2024), Lauryn Hippolite (2018) and Zoe Richards (2016) all attended the Tall Ferns camp this past weekend. The Tall Ferns pool for the Olympic Qualifying 2024 Tournament was also finalised, with New Zealand’s opponents being China, France and Puerto Rico.
Fresh off a 12 point outing against Chico State, Maddie Morrow (2023) is looking comfortable in her freshman season at Academy of Art University. Maddie is putting up 9.3 points per game in her last 4 matches, which includes draining 5 three-pointers against Stanislaus State.
Richie Rodger (2016) is beginning to build momentum in the Philippines, starting in his last 3 games for the NLEX Road Warriors. Richie is averaging 8.0 points per game and 3.0 assists per game as a starter, coming away with two wins as well.
Tsubasa Nisbet (2018) continues to provide valuable contributions to the Mistubishi Electric Koalas in Japan. In her last game against the Aisin Wings, Tsubasa recorded 5 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in 22 minutes.
Hayden Collier (2017) is off to a major start at Regina University for the 23-24 season. He’s leapt from 8.8 minutes per game last season to 31.5. He’s stuffing the statsheet with averages of 9.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.5 blocks.
KK Metalac Valjevo and Joe Cook-Green (2016) took down KK Tamis last week. Joe knocked down two triples off the bench, bringing his three-point percentage up to 41.7% on the season.
Josh Book (2022) is proving to be a key player in Missouri Western’s rotation, scoring 5 points in a win against Bethel College. The 2024 season marks just the ninth time in programme history that MWSU have started 5-0.
Maia Jones (2023) had her highest scoring output of the early season so far, going for 12 points against Rice University.
Controlling the boards is the name of the game for Charlotte Whittaker (2019) as she hauled down 4 and 5 rebounds against Kentucky and NC State, respectively.
Mac Stodart (2020) is picking up steam, averaging 11.0 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per game over the past 2 weeks for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
Jackson Rhodes (2022) is already playing a large role at his new school Earlham University. He’s averaging 28.6 minutes across 5 games and is the team’s fourth leading scorer at 5.0 points per game.
