The Mainland Eagles Academy has a track record for producing fantastic Basketball players ready to move on to college level. Below you’ll find some of our Alumni, their stories and where they are now.
Mary currently plays for IK EOS Lund professionally in Sweeden. BEfore this she played for the Rockhampton Cyclones in the QBL in Australia.
She attended Gillete College for her freshman season of college before transferring to Fordham Univeristy. Fordham compete in the NCAA Division 1 conference the A-10.
In her season year at Fordham Mary was the team captain, team MVP, Started every game, Named to the A-10 first team and all academic teams. She led the Rams in field-goal percentage (47.9%), three-point percentage (39.8% - tied for 10th in a single campaign), rebounds (8.4 per game and 276 total), 94 assists, 41 steals, and nine blocks… Second on the team with 12.8 points per game and fourth with 41 threes… Recorded 10 double-doubles… Nearly 40% of her rebounds came on the offensive glass (110-of-276). Averaged a near double-double in conference play with 13.4 points and 9.4 rebounds with a team-high 50 assists and 24 steals. Earned an Athlete Academic Achievement award to student-athletes with 3.5 GPAs or better. She was named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Sam currently plays for the Lugano Tigers in Switzerland. This was after a succesful season for the Canterbury Rams.
Sam is orginally from Tauranga where he attended Tauranga Boys High School.
He then attended Brown Mackie College before transferring and playing at Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth.
Shou is orginally from Christchurch where he attended Burnside High School.
He then attended Southeast Community College before heading to play professionally in Japan. He played 2 seasons with the Shiga Lakestars before moving to his current team Earthfriends Toyko Z.
Taylor Britt is originally from Christchurch where he attended Papanui High School.
Taylor played two seasons at Southeast Community College.
Taylor then played two seasons for the Canterbury Rams before getting an opportunity as a development player at the Perth Wildcats in the ANBL.
Brittany continues to do well both on and off the court. She was named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference All- Academic team in her Junior season which was a great achievement. She is majoring in Business Administration.
Brittany attended St Hilda's Collegiate in Dunedin. She then attended Gillete College with her twin sister Zoe before moving to the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Jackson Stent heading into his Senior year at Houston Baptist University. Jackson best Junior season performance came against Arlington Baptist (12 points/6 rebounds) and Lamar University (10 points/3 blocks). He averaged 36% from 3 over the season.
Jackson attended Casper College before transferring to Houston Baptist.
Jackson is majoring in kinesiology.

Joe Cook-Green is currently in his Senior year at Texas Wesleyan University. Joe had a solid Junior year where he finished averaging 9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 rebounds a game.
His two best games came against Central Christian where he scored 21 points and against Langston University where he added 12 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists.
Before Texas Wesleyan Joe attended Northwest Florida State College and Eastern Arizona College.
Joe attended Otago Boys and Cashmere High School. Joe is originally from Dunedin.

Sam attended Middleton Grange and played and trained with the Cantebury Rams before heading to Whitworth University.
Whitworth compete in the Northwest Conference.

Sam Timmins is heading into his Senior and final year at the University of Washington. Sam's best performance last year was against UCLA where he added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Washington will be looking to take another step this year after making the second round of the NCAA tournament last year before being knocked out by North Carolina.
Sam is orginally from Dunedin where he attended Otago Boys before moving to Christchurch to attend Middleton Grange for his final year.

Zoe is originally from Dunedin where she attended St Hilda's Collegiate. She is currently a Senior at Eckerd College, Florida.
Zoe had an impressive Junior year where she averaged 11 points, a team high 55% field goal percentage and 4 rebounds a game. Her best game came against Palm Beach Atlantic where she had 26 points,7 rebounds and 5 assists.
She was named to the SSC all tournament team and named SSC defensive player of the week twice.

Hayden Collier is heading into his junior year at the University of Regina in Canada. Regina compete in the Canada West Conference.
Hayden was previously at Laramie County Community College for the past 2 seasons before moving to Regina.
Hayden attended Rangiora High School.

Amiee is currently a Sophomore year at Cal State Fullerton. She had a great Freshman year. She averaged 10 points and 4 rebounds a game while shooting 43% from 3. She got her career high against UC Irvine where she scored 18 points.
Amiee also received Big West sixth player of the year and made the Big West all freshman team.

Carl Isitt is heading into his Sophomore season at Central Methodist University. Carl played a large role on the team in his freshman year and will be looking to continue that in year 2. Carl is attended Papanui High School in Christchurch before heading to Central Methodist.

Max is orginally from Nelson where he attended Nelson College before moving to Christchurch to attend Christs College and play for the Canterbury Rams.
Max is currently playing for KK Vrijednosnice Osijek in the Croatian National League.
Quinn Clinton is heading into his Sophomore year at St Mary's. St Mary's had a strong year winning the WCC Conference tournament and making the NCAA tournament. They will be looking to build on that this season.

Tom is orginally from Te Awamutu. Tom attended both Te Awamutu College and Auckland Grammar.
Tom is heading into his Sophomore year at Texas A and M International. His best performance in his freshman year came against St Mary's Texas where he added 16 points and 4 rebounds.

Max is originally from Oamaru where he attended Waitaki Boys before moving to Christs College in Christchurch. He currently attends Long Beach State Univeristy who play in the Big West Conference.
Canterbury born and bred and a Middleton Grange product Sofia is a young point guard known for her speed and handles. A Junior Tall Fern in 2018 she's also a cross country runner and wore the black singlet for NZ Secondary Schools at last years World Champs in Paris. Sofia is now in Canada on scholarship at the University of Windsor where she has started her freshman season.

Tyler joins St. Cloud State after an impressive high school career in New Zealand. Tyler was the youngest player to ever play in the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL). tyler played two seasons with the Nelson Giants and additionally played high school basketball for Waimea College.
Hunter is one of the top SF/SG’s in New Zealand and Australia for the 2023 recruiting class. He most recently played for the NBA Global Academy at the NBA Global Games in Atlanta and selected for the U19 New Zealand national team for the U19 FIBA Asia Cup & World Cup campaigns. Hunter played his rookie season for the Canterbury Rams in the top professional league in New Zealand in 2022. He is entering his Senior season for nationally ranked high school Christ College.
