Nakita looks after the performance program administration and provides the ‘behind the scenes’ support to the Academy Coaches. Having previously worked with an Australian NBL Team - The Brisbane Bullets, some of Nakita’s experience includes:

  • Individual Performance Plan creation and follow up with athletes
  • Academy Camp Organisation
  • Athlete Education Sessions
  • Great knowledge of the Own Your Goal App
  • Communication through the App

Hayden

Hall

Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

Hayden has a background in elite sport as a New Zealand representative in athletics for many years, as well as currently being a throws coach for Athletics New Zealand. Hayden also works as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for High Performance Sport New Zealand and Canterbury Cricket.

 

He has the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science
  • ASCA Level 2 - Strength and Conditioning Accreditation
  • Athletics Coaching Certificates
  • First Aid Certificate

Richards

Strength & Conditioning Coach

  • Owner & Director “Get Me Fitter”
  • Over a decade of fitness industry management and fitness trainer experience
  • Specializes in strength gains & group training

Lidia

Belles-Escrig

Head Physiotherapist

Lidia has a long history at providing physiotherapy services for the Eagles Academy including warm up, recovery, injury prevention and performance workshops at camps. 

 

  • Clinical director at PHYSIOSOUTH
  • Physiotherapist for the Tall Ferns
  • Principal physiotherapist for the Canterbury RAMS and Canterbury Wildcats
  • National and International experience with NZ senior and junior basketball teams: Mens U19 Oceania Cup, Tall Ferns Asia Cup and Olympic Games pre-qualifying tournament.

Kylie

Cox

Sports Scientist

Kylie is a final year Masters of Sports Science student and doing her practical internship with the Mainland Eagles

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine
  • Sports Physiotherapist including working with sports teams and athletes
  • Special interest in youth and adolescent sport and the female athlete

Geoff provides fundamental mental skills essential for growth to players and coaching staff, as well as wellness guidance and direction.
  • Registered psychologist NZ Psychologists Board
  • Mental skills coach various Canterbury teams
  • Specialist executive/individual mental skills coach
  • Previously NZ Special Forces psychologist
