Mainland Eagles Alumni Update 14/02/24

Our Mainland Eagles alumni updates are a recap showcasing and celebrating notable performances of our alumni all-around the world.

Lauryn Hippolite (2018), Esra McGoldrick (2018), Zoe Richards (2016), and Lauren Whittaker (2024) all suited up for the Tall Ferns at the FIBA 2024 Olympic Qualifiers in Xi’an, China. Esra led New Zealand in scoring and rebounding, averaging 10.7 points and 6.0 rebounds. Lauren impressed in her Tall Ferns debut, putting up a well-rounded stat line of 4 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block against China. 

Lauryn Hippolite (2018) has signed with the Casey Cavaliers of the NBL1 South. Lauryn’s first game of the new season will be on April 6th against her former NBL1 club, the Dandenong Rangers.

Jackson Rhodes (2022) caught fire against Franklin College, knocking down 6 triples and totaling for a season-high 19 points. 

Ivy Brown (2024) is making an immediate impact at Florida SouthWestern State College. She is recording averages of 7 points and 5 rebounds while playing 26 minutes per game. 

Charlotte Whittaker (2019) and the Colorado Buffaloes have continued to have an outstanding season. The team is currently ranked 8th on the Women’s AP Poll but have been placed as high as 4th recently.

Mac Stodart (2020) had his highest scoring game yet of the new year, dropping 18 points and a pair of triples in a win over Westminster University. 

Harry Weston (2023) and Hunter Adam (2023) both achieved 9 point outings in their recent matches against Anderson University and Duquesne University, respectively. 

Maia Jones (2023) has been making the most of her opportunities in the starting lineup for Saint Mary’s, scoring 14 points against San Francisco University.
