Tom is a fine young man who works extremely hard on and off the court. Ultimately Tom is very goal driven and motivated and He is looking for the best opportunity to help give himself the best platform.
Tom has been the standout centre for 3 years for the Cashmere High School team who are one of the top High School teams here in New Zealand. Tom has legitimate size and uses it well. He is great in transition and has good touch around the basket. He has grown into a dominate force over his time at high school. He is part of the Mainland Eagles Academy which has produced New Zealand players Sam Timmins (University of Washington), Angus McWilliam (UC Riverside), Quinn Clinton (St Mary's) and Max de Geest (Long Beach).

Tom is a mobile center who plays extremely hard on both ends. He has the rebounds well on both ends while being a great finisher on both hands. He is great running in transition and can handle the ball which again helps him excel in this area. He has good touch and a range of moves in the post. He has great pace and moves well for a player his size. He is a good decision maker and passer with good feel for the game. He can defend multiple positions both inside and on the perimeter. He is a very good interior defender with the ability to disrupt shots with his size.
Tom is a very bright and capable student. His current SAT score is 1050. He is able to sit the SAT again in December and expects that he can obtain 1110 - 1200 with some extra time to prepare. He is hard working in the classroom and has a current GPA of around 3.2.
